We are celebrating our impressive first-ever public examination results following our expansion to GCSE provision.
Core subject performance was exceptionally strong, with 91% of our English, Maths and Science results achieved at grades 9–4. Our optional subjects saw equally strong results, with pupils, on average, achieving over a grade higher than standardised national data predicted.
We are proudly non-selective and welcome pupils at all stages of their education. Our Class of 2026 joined us at various key points, from Reception, Year 3 and Year 7, with some pupils joining in Years 9 and 10 to benefit from the personalised support and challenge we provide during GCSE.
These results highlight the added value of a Durlston education, with a number of our pupils achieving up to three grades higher than their baseline forecast.
Other highlights include exceptional results in French, with 100% of pupils achieving grades 8 and 9. Our Art, Music and Physical Education candidates also achieved, on average, at least two grades higher than predicted.
We are absolutely delighted and extremely proud of the Class of 2026. The pupils thoroughly deserve this success. Their hard work, resilience and determination have been exemplary throughout their studies.
These results mark an important milestone in the school’s 123-year history and reflect our longstanding commitment to nurturing individual talent and confidence.
Pupils are now planning to continue their studies at a range of FE schools and colleges including Winchester College, Barton Peveril, Brockenhurst College and Bryanston School.
