Award Winning Durlston Family members
Many congratulations to Mrs Moss, Mrs Harland, and our Year 7 and Year 11 pupils, who were all nominated at the New Milton Civic Awards last night.
We are delighted to share that Mrs Harland, a valued member of our music department for more than 30 years, won the Volunteer of the Year Award for her work running the New Milton Music Festival. Over the years, she has supported hundreds of people in their musical journeys and continues to give her time with great kindness and care.
One of our Year 7 pupils received the Mayor’s Commendation for Young People in recognition of her charity work. Our Year 11 pupil was shortlisted for the Community Champion Award for his work researching local history. The award was presented to Old Durlstonian Nick Saunders.
Our Director of Music’s The Choir Engine Christchurch was also shortlisted for Community Group of the Year. The group was recognised for the strong community spirit it creates and for its charitable work.
